Live here in Maryland, been Stateside for 14 years (and counting).
I did tell her to Fuck off, that's when the bloody bartender turns around and say's "Watch your language".
I got called out when I flew overseas the last time around to take that chemical test where they dab your hands with a tissue in order to detect traces of any (explosive) chemicals that may have deposited on my palms. Of course I had been in the security queue for 20 minutes and he hadn't picked on anyone. So as he's dabbing my hands, I smiled, he said what's funny, I said "that you decided to pick on the only brown guy in the queue". He just stared at me like you wouldn't believe it, and then to "seem" to wanna make it right, dabbed the next person in line as well. She was a woman with a 3 year old. Oh the intelligence.
It DOES surprise me (in this area). I've been here for 9 years and this is only the second time it's happened (first time around the guy pulled a knife on me).
