I'm not sure I have a friend that would "give" me $45, let alone $4500. I think that sounds sketchy.
I decided to go through adult orthodontia 4 years ago, and got the braces off just over a year ago. It cost me nearly 6k out of pocket between the braces and the wisdom teeth, and I made the decision because I thought my health was more important than wave runners/etc that the money could buy. I had problems tearing into my food at times because I couldn't get a good bite on what I was eating. I was also a little self conscious about their appearance, though the decision was definitely made off of function rather than appearance. The oral surgeon even recommended I widen my mouth and correct an underbite via multiple bone surgeries at 25k... I wasn't a monster but cleaning them up without going overboard was a nice thought
I think I'd consider it one of the better decisions/spends I've made in the last ten years. The journey from point A to B kind of sucked, but now I don't have any of the problems I had before. I could've taken it a lot further, but I did what I thought was best for me. I didn't need "perfect" but the straightening/pulling that I went through made a world of difference in both function and appearance. I recognize teeth != tits, and she's probably not going to gain any "function" from the surgery, but if she's even remotely self-conscious about it and doesn't go overboard then I think it might be good for her to do. In the end it's really all about making yourself happy, and it probably won't take much.
I'm still worried about the friend, though. Are they going to pay upfront? Would they really commit to pay a monthly payment for ~3 years? What's their motivation/return? How long has this friend known her? etc...Comment

her friend is paying because they are gonna get their boobs done together. She will have to pay her friend back (monthly payments at 0% interest for around 3 years). She isn't getting them done until the end of the year so it will be a year and a half since she had the baby. It is one of her best friends. Don't worry there isn't anything sisiter going on. She is fronting the money because my girl is throwing her the baby shower and she is also getting all of our extra baby stuff (which is thousands of dollars of stuff)
Yes even though she has milk boobs she is still self conscious about them. She just wants normal B/Small C boobs.Comment

in line with what a few of the last responses have been, I'm just surprised that as a husband, it hasn't jumped out at you why someone else is making such an offer to you're considering it. to me, a spouse (and what is a part of her being) is sacred to you and you alone. why the thought never occurred to you that another woman has offered to get fake titties to your wife isn't in itself surprising, its numbing to think (as pickle said) that someone offered to pay $4500 for it.
the money and fantasies aside, if it was me, I would seriously introspect on what my position is in terms of the kind of friends my wife is keeping and how far I'm letting their conversations (and potential subsequent actions) go.
I completely agree that what I'm saying is a massive overthrow of cultural differences/opinions and in a world where we live by judging a book by it's cover, such decisions are becoming increasingly socially acceptable, but to me, that should be a decision of a wife and husband alone and not anyone else.
lastly, i think its fair to say that once you've entered parenthood within the last 2 months, fantasies should be far removed from the picture and the child should be the epitome of all decisions at this point. it seem all too moral and righteous as i type it but shit I'm just trying to put myself in your position and if someone was to make an offer like that to my better half, I'd be in my car heading to have a serious chat with this woman in the type you can say "oh fuck".
at the end of it all, i'm almost certain it was a troll post, but that's just me.

this is RM girl- u guys are totally taking this out of context.. shes my best friend.. and for years we've been talking about gettin breast implants.. i just had a baby and breast feeding .. and shes about to have a kid as well.. the conversation went like this... it would be awesome to have a beach body for your wedding and i really wanna get boobs and a tummy tuck before your wedding wouldnt it be awesome if we got them together because i dont wanna get it dont alone.. i said yea but we are saving up for a house and the wedding .--. well my line of credit would totally be able to cover both of us.. y dont we get it together.. ill pay for it all and u just make ur half of the payments on the line of credit... ill just set up your account with automatic payments... she does our banking as well..
....we just wanted to know how they felt and if they are comfy and how they look..
ps.. the baby will be well over a year before this procedure.. and hes 6 months now..Comment
