    This President's Day weekend, AMPDisVerboten!

The two groups join forces to deliver a Culprit and Murmur Records showcase featuring Droog, Tom Demac in his first-ever US appearance, Inxec and Leks (who will be joining the Culprit roster later this year as production duo Man vs. Groove).

    DROOG [Culprit, Supernature, LA]

For the past four years, Droog – the DJ collective of Andrei Osyka, Brett Griffin and Justin Sloe – have steadily built a reputation as leading purveyors of forward-thinking dance music in Los Angeles and beyond. Their infamous parties have featured some of the dance music industry's most respected talents, ranging from Magda and Jamie Jones to Dixon and Seth Troxler. In 2009, Droog established the LA-based record label Culprit. The imprint was celebrated with The Culprit Sessions, a series of parties on the Standard Hotel Rooftop. With the likes of Lee Foss, Damian Lazarus, Clive Henry and Droog themselves taking to the Session decks, the events were nothing short of epic, thus, anticipated the groundbreaking success of the label itself. Just two years from its launch and Culprit is already one of the most prolific outlets for outstanding electronic dance music. The label has spawned successful releases from Matt Tolfrey, Inxec, Adultnapper, Hot Natured, Lee Foss, SECT (Soul Clap, Sergio Santos, and Tanner Ross) and Kenneth James Gibson aka [a]pendics.shuffle. "Man of Wisdom", "MacLovin You" and "Even in Hollywood" are just a few of the EPs that have been sweeping off DJ charts and heating up dancefloors all over the globe. In 2011, expect even more of that warm, groovy, fervent sound the LA-based action trio and their label have spoiled us with. Keep an eye out for upcoming Culprit releases from Lee Curtiss, Lee Foss and Shonky!

    Presenting the US debut..

    TOM DEMAC [Murmur, Liebe*Detail, UK]

Gathering inspiration from the rolling hills of his native North Wales and infusing it with the essence of surrounding musical trends, UK-based Tom Demac has successfully tailored a unique identity for his sound. When several of Tom's critically acclaimed releases on Murmur (Prima Donna, Stand Beside Me, Crewcuts & Curls, and Crewcuts & Curls Remixes) flew off the shelves and landed straight into Laurent Garnier's sets or Martin Landsky, Kate Simko and Geddes' RA charts, Demac quickly established himself as not only a staple of the Murmur imprint, but also a much sought-after talent to take on the decks of famous clubs worldwide. Over the past year, the artist performed his vibrant, raw Live set at notorious venues like Fabric, Space - Ibiza, Mulletover and Freerotation. His DJ sets have made it onto dancefloors all throughout Europe. To top all that, remixes by Soulphiction, Luke Solomon, Jamie Jones, Wolf & Lamb, and Dave Aju position him as one of the hottest emerging talents of the moment. 2011 is shaping up to be yet another great year for Demac. With a nearly completed Live compilation album to be released this March on Murmur, it is clear that Demac is here to stay and nowhere near slowing down.

Currently Demac keeps himself busy with production, touring and collecting a fine selection of club toilet photos along the way!

    INXEC [Culprit, Murmur, Leftroom, UK]

Christopher Sylvester aka Inxec has been carving out a reputation as one of the most innovative producers in house and techno. Born in the early 80s, Inxec's first foray in music production came in the unlikely form of the...(TA-DAAAAAM)...the PlayStation! However, it wasn't long before he moved onto advanced software to compose his own action-filled beats. By the early 2000s, Inxec was already releasing house music for labels like Renaissance and Distinctive under the Sound Alliance moniker. Not that it's hard to miss Inxec's sky-scraping figure, but his releases on Cocoon Recordings, Murmur, and Culprit have certainly placed him at the center stage of the electronic dance music scene. All eyes on Chris as world-renowned artists like Ricardo Villalobos, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin and Luciano played his tracks, further boosting the artists' already high demand in both the studio and behind decks. There's no pacing-down for the Nottingham-born ex-chef, so expect some serious heat in 2011 as he's cooking up an assortment of goodies that are sure to please even the most finicky of aural palates!

LEKS [Culprit, Half Seas Over, NYC]

Helming the decks of local clubs and underground venues, AMPD! resident Leks has long been a pillar of New York's dance music scene. This year, Leks takes HIS passion for music that he's so often showcased in the DJ booth and brings it into the studio, releasing his debut production on Half Seas Over with two remixes to Ray Okpara and Mobius Strum's 'It's Down the Block.' Stay tuned for more from this talented New York artist, as he teams up with Inxec to form the Man vs. Groove production project. Their first release together is coming out on Culprit Records later this year.

AMPD! resident En'rike will be warming up the floor with his deep, sexy grooves.

No school on Monday, kiddies, so get ready to get doooooooown.
