      Re: Libya

The Western backed public torture, murder of Gaddafi is a crime against humanity. He was captured, defenseless and should have been handed over to the courts to answer all charges made against him.

No human being deserves to be treated in that manner regardless of their past actions. And the most disturbing thing is that nutjobs in power want to go to Syria, Iran next.

Expect more death, destruction for years to come, as the real fight in Libya and other nations, has only just begun.
“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”

            Re: Libya

The gaddafi story sounds a lot like the OBL story.

OBL - Gave up and surrendered
            Gaddafi - Surrendered

OBL - Buried in an unmarked location
Gaddafi - Buried in unmarked location

            The real question is why?

The Western powers and their partners in crime tell the rebels what to do, not the other way round.

And I also understand that boredom can be a bitch most times, but please, put a little effort into the next post you make on the issue.

                      Re: Libya

I sense a notion of confusion amongst the relationship that Gaddafi and the West has, maybe this can clear things up:

Muammar Muhammad al-Gaddafi (born 7 June 1942) is a Libyan politician and revolutionary, who has led the Libyan state since he overthrew King Idris in a 1969 bloodless coup and established the Libyan Arab Republic. He went on to survive revolts, military strikes and embargoes while showing a knack for playing to Western interests, namely geopolitical security and oil reserves.
It’s no surprise many of the interviews about hidden dealings are tainted by realpolitik. These personal accounts from key players are a fascinating foray into the diplomatic world of riddles, theatrics and hidden agendas.
In early February 2011, major political protests, which were inspired by recent protests in Tunisia, Egypt and other parts of the Arab world, broke out in Libya against Gaddafi’s government and quickly turned into a civil war. Gaddafi vowed to die a martyr if necessary in his fight against rebels and external forces, saying that those rebelling against his government deserve to die.
On 17 May 2011 the International Criminal Court issued a request for an arrest warrant against Gaddafi for crimes against humanity.
This insightful essay-style documentary by Frenchman Antoine Vitkine puts current events into perspective by examining the motivations behind the actions of Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, a man whose peculiar appearance belies savvy negotiation skills.

The speculation of Gaddafi's introduction of the Gold Dinar.

                          Re: Libya

^ There are many reasons why the West wanted Gaddafi gone and the introduction of the Gold Dinar may have been one of them.

Either way, Libya is farked and the West had it in their sights long before March 2011.

Wesley Clark has his say below.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly.
