This Friday’s exclusive mix comes from Breakage, an increasingly dominant presence in the UK’s dance music underground.

Having quickly risen to notoriety in the drum ‘n bass scene, Breakage is one of a number of d’n’b producers – along with the likes of Instra:mental, Kryptic Minds and ASC – who have taken influence from worlds outside of d’n’b to fashion a unique, rolling aesthetic all of their own.

In Breakage’s case, dubstep is the key: following 2008′s awe-inspiring single ‘The Shroud’/'Clarendon’, he’s gone on to explore that sound deeper, while also collaborating with Skream, and MCs like Roots Manuva and – on new single ‘Hard’, out December 7 – Newham Generals and David Rodigan.

His FACT mix should give you a taste of what to expect from Foundations, the London producer’s new album due early next year on Shy FX’s Digital Soundboy label, and the follow-up to 2006’s diverse double-disc set This Too Shall Pass. Tracklist overleaf.

I'm not sure what you mean (I'm a foreigner), but this a pretty good showcase of "good" aka post-dubstep.

I just skimmed this thread (I'm up in this thread not readin' s...) and I downloaded this set. I really like this sound a lot, this is a great mix. What else should I listen to that is like this? I don't know much about dubstep but I thought it didn't sound like this, more like whats in the youtube vid above. But I like this a ton.

I think Jeremy chose artists and tracks that belong to the second wave of Dubstep, most of them could be passed as electronica or tech house.
Search the dj database, many of these producers have done postcasts (for FACT Magazine and others).

can't wait to get home and look for some of these to d/l... i've recently been getting into dubstep too and i just noticed this thread. i've had several friends around here and in atlanta that have started playing dubstep more so than they used to. i was kinda on florida's train that i thought it was gaining steam.

anyhow..... where would i be without [ms]?? thanks guys!
