Increasing capacity by moving into Nation's main room a yet to be announced special guest will be joined by the stunning Jan Johnston. Described as 'the first lady of trance' Jan's instantly recognisable and haunting ethereal vocals melt the senses and touch the soul. Accepted the world over as one of the finest in the business Jan turns great records into timeless classics and has worked and collaborated with the likes of Paul Oakenfold, BT, Chicane & Tiesto.
Jan’s big break came when BT (Brian Transeau) discovered her on a solo project, Paris & The Prayer. Using the vocal from The Prayer the soaring yet touching Calling Your Name was born and soon a special partnership was fused on Perfecto Records. Featuring on BT's ESCM album 'Remember' took the plaudits as one of Perfectos finest 12" packages and an almost guaranteed airing at Cream every week. Further collaborations on Mercury & Solace & Flesh, combined with a successful solo career merely confirmed her standing as Perfecto's finest vocalist.
Not forgetting it was Jan's work with Anthony Pappa & Alan Bremner to produce Skydive under their Freefall guise on Stress Records in 1998 that reverberates as one of the finest dance records ever produced an all time Cream classic. A very special live PA awaits!
Joining Jan, will be Frankfurt DJ and producer Oliver Lieb. An instant addition to electronic music's hall of fame with around two dozen aliases and well over 200 productions and remixes to his name, the German maestro has been a purveyor of mesmerising progressive, trance, house & techno for over 20 years. Combining deep bass frequencies and moving melodies, Oliver is most famed for his work under his L.S.G. moniker, creating masterpieces such as Netherworld, Hidden Sun Of Venus, Shecan & Into Deep, which have been championed at Cream by the likes of Sasha, Paul Oakenfold & Parks & Wilson.
Signed to labels such as Harthouse, Superstition, Hooj, Platipus & MOS, as Oliver Lieb his own work has heralded such greats as Subraumstimulation & Lightspeed, and as a remixer hes always added something different to the original in a way that only Oliver Lieb finds possible. A seemingly endless discography, highlights include remixes of Ambassadors - The Fade, PUSH - Universal Nation and Art of Trance - Kaleidoscope.
Warming up the night's proceedings will be none other than local legend Steve Parry. With 20 years experience under his belt, Steve's house and progressive sound has graced many of the world's top nightclubs and events, including Cream, Bedrock, Renaissance & the Zurich Street Parade where he played to to over 1 million people. With 10 years as Manager of 3beat Records and a weekly radio show on Juice FM, Steve’s ear for a tune is second to none.
Completing the line-up is promoter and resident Samuel Lamont. After playing an Oakey inspired closing set in the Annexe, Sam’s versatility, creativeness and knowledge of his audience will once again be in full force to deliver the music and memories that we all crave.
Once again the door policy will be over 25's and ticket only to ensure that the crowd will remain as faithful to the one that graced the dance floor at Cream's weekly parties in the 90's and early 00's
Watch this space for the announcement of the Special Guest on 17th April.
