‘Our take on the warehouse party experience’
As of the 19th of March 2011 we are launching a monthly warehouse party. Essentially it is a multi-coloured palette comprising underground house and techno music within a tromp l’oeil home set. Vincent Desforger is committed to transforming the venue into a home from home; A nice, warm, cozy home!
For the opening night we have chosen a location versatile enough to accommodate our exuberance. Krush is simply how we imagine a perfect night out (or ‘in’ so to speak) whilst embracing all the artistic notions we love. Come and check it out and share with us our lavish enthusiasm! With a line up to ignite and inspire at East London’s Red Gallery as you’ve never seen it before, a funktion one sound system and an art installation from Vincent Desforger...we welcome you into our home and introduce you to the first edition of Krush...
Heading up the living room we have....
Martinez really needs no introduction. His presence on the underground electronic music scene for the last ten years as one of the most in-demand and exceptional DJs of our time is not without reason. With releases on Guidance, Dessous, Get Physical, Area Remote, La Pena, his own Re:connected and, most recently, on Moon Harbour have put his crisp sounds to the test...and have surpassed them all without compromise.
Krush are delighted to announce No regular Play’s first DJ performance in the UK. The integral and much loved part of the Wolf + Lamb and Marcy Hotel family have taken us all by storm. Their low slung soul and hip hop inspired house music is no stranger to London’s dance floors and sound systems and we welcome them with open arms for their first London appearance of 2011.
He (Dan) is an American keyboardist and he (James) is a trained guitarist, both certified in music production and with covetable resumes, both as solo artists and as the renowned duo they have become. Since their debut performance at Sonar festival in June 2006, Dan and James have been performing their unique live sets all around the globe and their appearance at Krush will be no different.
Greece’s Rework’s festival hasn’t gone unnoticed in recent years, being ranked among the best festivals in the world by Resident Advisor. Remember regularirregular at Tbar? Well, this man is behind both Reworks and regularirregular. London based Nikos is Krush’s resident – a man who has played alongside many of the industry’s high rollers in his time such as Sven Vath, Ricardo Villalobos, Steve Bug, Joris Voorn and Tiefschwarz just to name a few.
Maura has had a captivating presence on the London music circuit for years. With a release on Leftroom Records under her belt, she is cementing a name for herself in London and abroad. Standing out for spinning vinyl, she plays from the heart regardless of musical trends. Having started as co-promoter and resident of !KNUF together with Jordi Mas, their regular soiree in East London hosted many a respected headliner. Maura’s dynamic sets and signature deep sound have gained her spots in London’s hottest parties. She has stepped up her game by entering the world of production with Mark Chambers. Delving into influences of deep house and dub tech sounds, Mark and Maura deliver warm and rich beats with a permanent nod to the old school and a forward thinking perspective to the future.
Heading up the second room we have...
None other than the notorious Horse Meat Disco who have been bringing London downright deep and dirty disco music for as far back as we can remember. Since its humble beginnings over 6 years ago Horse Meat Disco has become an institution on both sides of the sexual divide due in large part to its dedication and appreciation to Disco music in all its forms. James Hillard and Jim Stanton, with the help of Severino and Luke Howard are....Horse Meat Disco.
