i would definitely recommend checking out live stand up to anyone who hasn't. great time, great experience. the only ones i've actually been to were dave chappelle and dave attell, and both were excellent. as far as recent taped performances go, i've really enjoyed eddie murphy, chris rock, and bernie mac. (well, i suppose eddie murphy isn't all that recent, but raw and delerious are awesome.)Comment

George Carlin - the best there ever will be
Bill Hicks - trully a legend. sad that he isn't still with us.
Lewis Black - the modern day patriarch of anger comedy.
Patton Oswalt - only heard him a couple of times, but i laughed my ass off at this guy
Mitch Hedberg - great comedian...and even had a guest part on one of my favorite shows, That 70's Show.Comment
