Oh yeah, BTW, I was at Fundacion the entire night (well, 1030pm till 7am close) and I swear by my lucky charms that the opening DJ was not Lavelle nor Sasha, yet I dont know who it was... The reason I bring this up, might you ask, is simply this...

he was fucking HOT! (musically speaking) and had a rather dark edge to him that my inner goth boy appreciates a whole lot as long as it comes in electronic format... Is it just me or has it been a long damn time since i have heard scary music, let alone an entire set of it... Ya'll know what I mean, right? The kind of music that makes you wonder if the Dj is trying to kill you with the music... a sort of doomsday, bring out your dead, goosebumps till you bleed, good time dancin...

Junior vasquez used to really be able to do that... for seriousness... not consistently and not anymore, but when he was ON, yowsa...

yes it is true... a real live homosexual, I tricked you guys at first by being able to read and write and type and stuff, right? LOL

but anyway, the only "gay" party that I will still attend, given the opportunity, is DTPM at Fabric... there's always at least one room without black ladies singing about that guy, the one with the nails and the thorns on that wood thing... at any rate, I get to London around once a year and make that night a point to attend, I live here in NYC but only seem to go out when the UK or holland sends a musical representative our way... BTW, thanks for not only the quality but quantity as well lately...

My ancestors were a bit retarded to get on a boat to make a better life in the "new world" where they could be "free". George Bush, Boy Bands, Britney Spears, and a country fatter than any other... I'm ranting, I know, i just want a country with good taste and manners... on the dancefloor at least

First it was DJ Three who opened up for Sasha & Lavelle that night and he always knows how to bring the beats properly.

Secondly, I gotta agree with you on the junior comment. Back in the late 80s and early 90s, you couldn't keep me away from the Sound Factory and Junior's beats (and I'm straight). It was just that kind of party with tough, mind-fucking beats and a crowd that was the proper mix of everything. Unfortunately that's missing from the scene today. Damn shame.

Oh and welcome to the board!

                Sing like nobody's listening.
Live like it's Heaven on Earth."

Thanks a bunch for your information, and hospitality.... albiet virtual... lol. At any rate, I think I set myself up to have the perfect night last friday by going upstairs 5 minutes before Lavelle came on and meeting some cool people and talking (shouting really) for an hour and a half, just to find a nice spot on the dancefloor all my own for the return of sasha.... Otherwise I was on the floor the entire night.

I did get stuck in the crowd for a little bit, and had I been in that position much longer I would have complained, but I must say I had an amazing night. Went with a friend, he burned out at 3am, and I was a trooper... (I couldnt bring myself to leave while sasha was still doing what he does, no matter how bad the foot pain)

And I do believe i am going to hear DJ three at Cielo tomorrow night should my hacking cough get remotely better... for now i am going to mix for another hour or so, and then over analyze the recording once but more likely twice

                    be Well

Good pics and video, but once again I have to say that I think it's totally annoying how Crobar puts up a stage for when Sasha plays because as you can see in the pic, it turns into almost a concert where people are all facing him instead of dancing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus it cuts down on the dancefloor space. I wish they would figure out a better idea...

Oh I remember back when i was in the police acedemy we would go there on leaves and weekends.... It was utter insanity! Once we almost got Comandt to do drag after we all took our acid... I used to work it out, dancing disco in leather, but since then there havent been many bars or club with a motorcycle mustache requiremnt, and after that Us homos have only beeen doing wht you have been seen. This once goes out an has fun

                                YAY for THREE tonight!
