Since breaking through in 2006, Hans Bouffmyhre has progressed his career at an impressive pace. Having just released his debut album with legendary German label, Harthouse, the young Scot, whose own Sleaze label is rapidly becoming a must have for the enlightened techno elite, returns to 8 Sided Dice for a follow up to his Journey Man EP from 2010.
The 12” for this release contains the tracks Pretenders; a stomping futuristic blend of tense, building energy and melodic moments and Realize; a cacophonous throb of heavy-duty percussion, sci-fi pulsing sounds and atmospheric effects that make a very useable ad effective tool. The digital only tracks are Depth Charge; the deepest track on the EP with its linear marching groove and churning layers of mechanical sounds and The Wanderer; a full on frenetic burst of raw energy and abrasive tones.
