guess not... i know there are 9 episodes ...he was just going to make episodes 123 and end it there... but there are 9 books (episodes
) for sure.. plus there are numerous spin off books... things that are supposed to happen:
solo and hialeah get married and have twins
      luke starts a jedi school
the federation builds or tries to build another death star...
can remember a lot of the stuff ... i had a friend that was really into it and read everything and anything that is out there to read

Yeah, I knew that the original-original plan was that Lucas was going to make 6 more films (1-3 and 7-9). Then while involved in the filming of 1-3 he decided that he would end it there. This is the first I've heard of 7-9 being 'on' again, but then again I'm not a Star-Woid so I don't follow these things very closely.

I'd recently seen an interview of Lucas by Charlie Rose and he very clearly said in it that he's done with the Star Wars series after 3 is released. He's very much looking forward to going back to all the films he had wanted to do over the years while he was preoccupied with raising his children and making the Star Wars series.

Live like it's Heaven on Earth."

I think he's ruined the franchise enough already- I really don't think he's capable of making a good movie anymore. He should let someone else direct and just be in charge of special effects since that seems to be what he loves so much.

As for thinking Episode 3 is going to be any better than the first two:

Lucas said serveral times in interviews that he's done with Star Wars, so i don't belive that there're going to be more episodes.

Despite his comments, the script's story is going against all the books, which were all controlled by lucasfilm, so...

but because i'm a big star wars fan, i like the illusion, that there will be more films...

Don't believe anything SuperShadow says. I am on a few boards and that guy is just a fanatic. He claims to know Lucas himself, and says he goes to parties at his house. Even if half of what he claims is true, he still couldn't know as much about Star Wars as he thinks he does.

Just get on GameFaqs forums or something and look for some of his posts. He has problems.

Let the franchise die. He screwed us with the Phantom menace (which I sadly waited till midnight to watch) and I will never forgive him for that. The man simply cannot write a script. Visionary creative director, absolute hack with a pen in his hand.

The Star Wars franchise is a money making machine, if Lucas can shit a few more episodes he will do it. He has sold yoda's soul about a billions times to the devil with his garbage E1 E2 and I don't think we can give a faint hope for E3. The story has been lost, I can only expect Lucas will shows us state of the Art CG eye candy and if I try to think about the story or plot I can be sure I'll need some tylenol for it.

yeah the yoda fighting seuquence in E2 looked wierd, but you got to remember yoda is suposed to be a great warrior.he has to fight.
