    2/11 Taylor Live in Cancun @ Eccentricbeats.com

    Hey everyone,

I have some exciting news I would like to share. My scheduled guest on Play Co. & Friends @ eccentricbeats.com was unable to submit a mix to me so instead, my guest for this month's show will be LA based, TAYLOR of Bedrock, Ministry of Sound, Ultra Records and Circleof5ths.com, considered by many as the pioneer of the progressive sound in the states. He was recently featured on back to back shows on Digweed's Kiss100 and has a massive single out with POB on Bedrock called Aura.

I recently had the pleasure of playing with him down in Playa Del Carmen and Cancun, Mexico. I was lucky enough to record his amazing sunrise set in Cancun @ the open air venue, Nectar. With Taylor's permission, his set will be broacasted in its entirety (2 hours 35 minutes). You won't want to miss this one!

2/11 FRI 5pm-7:30pm CST Play Co. & Friends hosted by Hac Le @ http://www.eccentricneats.com featuring a special 2.5 hour live set @ Nectar, Cancun, by TAYLOR of Bedrock, Ministry of Sound, Ultra Records and Circleof5ths.com.

Here's some info on Taylor for those of you who have not heard of him:

As one of the biggest underground DJ heroes in the US, Taylor has been developing his passion for music since the age of 12. As a recognized crowd-pleaser and having already had tremendous impact on the ever-growing West coast scene, Taylor regularly plays at huge venues across North America and is now recognized as a premier DJ on an international scale.

At the forefront of the US progressive trance scene, Taylor has earned the distinction of being one of the first US DJ's to represent the Ministry of Sound, the largest dance music company in the world, with the release of "Trance Nation America". This double CD, which was released on Ultra Records, with one mix by Taylor and the other from Jimmy Van M., proved to be one of the most successful compilations of 2000.

Currently, Taylor is gearing up for the summer 2001 release of his first solo double disc compilation entitled "Synesthesia" due out in July 2001 on Ultra Records. This aims to be another successful summer dance compilation and will be one of the first double CD's released by an American DJ.

Featured on this CD as the closing track is "Today" a collaboration with P.O.B. , of Seismic and Platipus fame. Expectations are high for this duo and they don't disappoint with their unique driving basslines and hauntingly beautiful vocal.

Playing uncompromisingly intense sets, Taylor is known for the perfectionism of his flawless, key-matched mixes. Those who do not recognize his name from DJing are sure to know him from the hit single "Anomaly - Calling Your Name" by Libra Presents Taylor, a long ago collaboration with BT.

Taylor has helped set the standard for progressive house and trance. Premier DJ John Digweed calls Taylor, "the true innovator of the progressive sound on the American west coast," while his partner Sasha gushes that "Taylor is one of the most inspiring new school DJ's I've heard..."

Hopefully, his career is mounting a comeback and you will be hearing much more from him. He's alwasy been a favortie of mine and has been a big influence over the years.

Which CD are you referring to? Both the Ministry of Sound one and Synethesia did pretty well on the charts. Synethesia, which is excellent and comes highly recommended if you haven't checked it out, was higher on the charts then S&D's Communicate for a little while.

Don't worry, once the set is broadcasted at eccentricbeats.com, I'll make it available for download at my web site www.playcomusic.com.

          peacE!

Ugh! When will the rest of the United States learn that we don't give a shit about the other time zones. Everyone should cater to the EST people. So that's 6pm right?

                      EST side foreva!

why not make EVERYTHING GMT, just subtract 5 hours for EST and 8 hours for PST.

or, we can make up out OWN time zone....
