So Vinnie, since the Dems and Obama are screwing it up royally in your opinion, who do you have in mind that can fix all this?
Conservative christian republicans? Boy that's a gem of a demographic. Reminder for you, they screwed it up, and continue to screw it up too. Maybe mix in a little "they're all wrong" with your "Obama is wrong" which is the point of the graph at the top.

i'm with Jenks on this one. I would only like to add...that the problem is not their personality. The problems are structural...and this true everywhere not just in the US.The Idiots ARE Winning.

(Some of) the Tea Party people seem to have it right...unfortunately, the conservative Christians were led off the cliff by the Neocons. Also, I can't say it enough times...Ron Paul.

I'm wondering why does everyone on the internets have a huge e-boner over Ron Paul, yet no one else really considers him much of a real candidate, as evidenced sofar. Also he is older than McCain, he is going to be senile soon.
I guess it is probably because he has a pretty strong young/college voter base.Comment

There's nothing wrong with politicians or govt. officials having religious beliefs (the Pledge of Allegiance itself mentions a deity; there is a nationally foundational basis for having such a belief...I have great doubt a host of atheists would have been as divinely inspired to build a Republic such as what the US once was)...it's when they use it as a weapon that the trouble starts.
That elitist ruling class member, Pelosi, meanwhile thinks we're all alike and implies things like rule of law and fiscal insolvency aren't important:
To my Republican friends: take back your party. So that it doesn’t matter so much who wins the election, because we have shared values about the education of our children, the growth of our economy, how we defend our country, our security and civil liberties, how we respect our seniors. Because there are so many things at risk right now -- perhaps in another question I'll go into them, if you want. But the fact is that elections shouldn't matter as much as they do...But when it comes to a place where there doesn't seem to be shared values then that can be problematic for the country, as I think you can see right now.Last edited by vinnie97; April 13, 2011, 03:43:19 PM.Comment

ron paul is a pussy. yeah, he is smart, but he is a pushover.
to make a comment on jenks' first picture post, if we want to fix our budget we need someone with proven business/budget experience. i don't think obama has any... i could be wrong, i really don't know. my opinion here, i think mitt romney has a helluva lot of experience in that area and he'd be a good candidate to fix the budget. notice i didn't say be the president. having said that, i don't think there's any candidate that will ever have enough experience in all the shit america is dealing with now... so, well shit, maybe we can have presidents, not a president? lol.... i think we're almost too far gone for me to care a whole lot anymore.Should I fuck you at that not until the ass, inject then tremendously hard bumschen and to the termination in the eyes yes?Comment

I'm not saying atheists can't be upstanding citizens, Jenks. I just question the resolve of those who don't stand for anything greater than humanity and the "survival of the fittest" to come up with a system of government that ensures the greatest amount of personal liberty as was the case in what was formerly our Republic. To the Founders, their personally held religious beliefs and views on morality were inseparable (at least in public...they of course had skeletons in their closets). I know many of you would call me a wacko for expressing such beliefs and find them detestable, but I'm tired of being apologetic.Comment

That's a really interesting point Garrick... i'm going to be thinking about that for a while I know it... (pontificating or whatever)... we are so globally connected now, the problems are so multi-faceted, it's going to be really difficult for people to be pleased with one person, so let's all quit pissing and moaning about Obama because the complaining is completely futile really.
