Re: Bedrock Easter Party pre-meet ?

Great night ... venue is v similar to the old Heaven and Diggers was on top top form for 5+ hours. Opened with Tom Middleton Liquatech remix of Easy As Can Be

Then really flowed brilliantly for two hours before he started dropping the dark evil stuff

Finished with 'Dolphin Love' from the boat party:

Encore was Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus (Remix)

The remix is part of this forthcoming package :

On 6 June 2011, Depeche Mode will release Remixes 2: 81-11 on Mute. An inspiring collection of new and classic mixes of material covering their entire career, the album includes remixes of tracks from their 1981 debut Speak And Spell, through to 2009's Sounds Of The Universe, and is the follow-up to 2004's million-plus selling Remixes 81-04. These remixes reinforce Depeche Mode's standing as one of the world's most influential and innovative acts.

Depeche Mode have been at the forefront of remix culture for the best part of three decades and this new compilation includes classic mixes from M83, UNKLE, Trentemøller, François Kervorkian and Dan The Automator, alongside all-new mixes from Stargate, Eric Prydz, Karlsson & Winnberg (from Miike Snow) and Röyksopp. In addition to this, the expanded editions include exclusive remixes by former band members Vince Clarke and Alan Wilder - the first time either artist has remixed tracks for their former colleagues.

Remixes 2: 81-11 will be available in two different CD formats; Single and Triple Disc versions, as well as Downloads and as a 6 x 12" vinyl LP box set.

Highlights from the selection of classic mixes include reworkings of "Dream On" from 2001's Exciter, "Suffer Well," "John the Revelator" and "A Pain That I'm Used To" from 2005's Playing The Angel and "In Chains," "Peace" and "Wrong" from 2009's Sounds Of The Universe, while the new mixes include "Tora! Tora! Tora!" and "Puppets" from 1981's Speak And Spell, "Never Let Me Down Again" and "Behind The Wheel" from Music For The Masses as well as "A Question Of Time" from 1986's Black Celebration. Lead single "Personal Jesus", from 1990's Violator, also features several strong remixes as part of the package. The Remixes 2: 81-11 tracklisting is as follows.

Re: Bedrock Easter Party pre-meet ?

Arches was an amazing night ... first time at there and thought it was a great venue + being less packed meant that my ears weren't wrecked by the full sound system.

Nick Warren was in the smaller room/Guy J was opening the main room and both were already on when we got in there - luckily there was a door connecting to two easily so we could pop in and out. NW dropped Carnival Xiii .. so my night was made already. Then Guy J ended with I Lost My Head which sounds f-in fantastic in a club.

Diggers was just playing two hours, but it was a night when he condensed everything and really hooked it all up to deliver a fantastic set wreaking absolute havoc, before bringing it all down with NW's Buenos Aires and tearing the archway off with Diabla and PJ ... I thought the first 2-3 hours at Arcadia were particularly fine and the Arches set just rounded Easter off nicely (hint for future Transitions broadcasts).

Bring on JD & Beyer at Leeds on May 27th !

I've got to agree about the first half/ two thirds of his set at Arcadia, I thought it was spot on.

Glad you had a good night at The Arches Simon. I thought it was a top night aswell. Hadnt been in The Arches for a good while so was nice to be back with some of the best music/dj's in the scene.

I couldnt bring myself to leave the Playroom all night. I wasnt missing Nick for Guy J and i really wanted to see Omid. Nick played some amazing stuff and Omid ripped the place apart till the end of the night.

Good to see proper music being appreciated by a proper crowd and as you say, it wasnt too busy like a lot of the nights on in the Arches.

Although you did get off lightly with your ears. That Funkion 1 in the Playroom had my ears ringing for 2 days afterwards.

Nick Warren will always be one of my favourite dj's and ive been lucky enough spend a wee bit of time with him on a couple of occasions through my friend. Great guy and a great dj.
