Very clever, but you still don't get it: we're not supposed to post the files from Proton until Sunday, to not upset Proton too much. But we're allowed to post undersampled versions. Since this one was an eagerly awaited show, I ripped both hours, did not post them, used Foobar to downsample them, had the (genius, in hindsight) idea to post them to my payed Souncloud, so that people here could have a listen, waiting for the real deal. Took me hours. Nobody thanked me, little people cared. The next day Miss MS treats me like a jerk for that.
Icing on the cake.

Btw, the "real files" themselves are also downsampled, did you know that? Pt.1 of the lousy Cruise set was transcoded twice before people ripped it. That's quality! Is this because I apparently jumped at Simon? He's the nicest guy ever, that would never happen.

That's why I did it. I got a little upset because Simon did not even mention it and I told him, but he probably just didn't notice. Soundcloud users would see a link to here, people that have ripped the 96k -I don't see what they have to do with us, really. But I swear to god it will never happen again!

I also ask for my 863 entries in the djdb to be removed and replaced with witty comebacks.

Don't look for ulterior motives, while I also think simon is the nicest guy I'm sure he can look after himself My only worry was that this would be out there in terrible quality as I'm sure it is now. Just perhaps others thought that as well . This may be why they didn't thank you , although people on internet forums aren't all that good at saying thank you.

No, you don't get it. . I'm not talking about the rules on this site, I'm talking about the rules of integrity and respect. Unfortunately those people do have something to do with us.!! They have been able to rip that poor quality and spread it around. What I want more than anything is for great music to be available to share in great quality. That is my motive in what I say .As long as we put up poor quality , that's what we will get. I think it is getting to stage where people don't know the difference anymore .

Although we will have to agree to disagree that is all that is relevant. There is a wider view. I have seen enormous change in the way we get music, some of which is absolutely amazing , some is really sad. We do seem to be sacrificing quality for quantity. Perhaps because I remember when I had to save up to buy my music I have a different attitude to most. I am incredibly grateful that all this wonderful music is given to us , but I'm very selective. There is only so much music you can listen to, why not have the best. ?? But the end result is that I have an amazing collection of amazing music. Music has been my passion alll my life.

Obviously I am not up with all the coding stuff you talking about there, but it doesn't make sense that you can get anymore out of something than was already there. So as I said there will be something we totally agree on.

Sbando - I didn't do anything intentional to offend you

I wasn't aware of your Soundcloud parts when I loaded the thread in P & R : I started the thread because I wanted to get the tracklist moving and I usually do this with the live mixes as the [ms] crew are reliable for some great IDs.

When I became aware of your S/C parts I offered for you to post them because I didn't want to be presumptuous or wish to take credit for your work and time.

To be fair Didi - the Proton rips are out and widely available on a Friday : so the chances of someone ripping the Soundcloud rather than finding a link via google is very remote. So it is a bit of a moot point.
