Hey guys! I'm back with another bumper show of top-shelf exclusive downunderground material ready for your ears to soak up for another month. This time it's extra special.. I promise!
I had the pleasure of hearing James three times during his recent tour of Australia, and I'm pleased to bring you my recording of his Renaissance New Years Eve 2004 set - 100% live from Space in Sydney. This has not been released anywhere else and I can assure you it's a highlight you do NOT want to miss! JZ was in superb form that night, and you can feel the energy of the midnight crossover with James' own unique approach. An absolutely essential set that you MUST hear!
As if that wasn't enough, I'm teaming up some excellent Aussie support acts. Straight after JZ will be Switch & McGuyver returning for a second onslaught of tech house goodness. These two Sydney lads have a number of well-known productions under their belt and there's some outstanding new tracks on show here, mixed beautifully. You may remember Switch and McGuyver from the last JZ live set I featured on the show - that mix of theirs was good. This is great!
Keeping your eardrums warm for the final leg of .AUdio will be Adelaide's frontman from Fabric who goes by the name of Mal Chia. Mal's put together a quirky collection of electro-influenced material from late last year and reminds me of the sorts of sounds we're hearing on Digweed's Fabric 20. Hang in there.. it's well worth it!
Catch this very special edition of .AUdio at these times:
New York (EST): Thursday, February 17 @ 5pm
Los Angeles (PST): Thursday, February 17 @ 2pm
London (GMT): Thursday, February 17 @ 10pm
Sydney (AEST): Friday, February 18 @ 9am
Cheers,
Grant
