I'm not a baseball fan by any means, the season is too long, and the local team here, the D Rays, is shite. BUT, who would have thought the day would come that the D Rays would have a better record than the Braves.

But simply they aren't the best team. In the playoffs u need a pitcher or two who can come in and simply win a game. The cards don't have that. Period. But i wish them the best. I like edmonds. Great outfielder. My statement is that they won't win because of pitching. And maybe coaching!

I`m far from being sour young sir, i just like to wind you yanks up now and again. The only time us English play a game like that is at school... and it`s only for girls. (rounders) Just pointing out a UK fact.

Morris doesn't have the velocity he once had, he's not a thrower anymore, and his placement isn't good enough to 'pitch' wiht the best of them.
as of now, Carpenter is kicking some ass, but i don't know if he and Woody Williams will be good enough in the playoffs as you say. Our lineup and defense is up there with the best in the league, the bullpen, for once, is solid with King, Kline, and Isringhausen.
We'll see...as per the coach. Believe me, Tony catches a lot of shit in STL, only because everyone compares every coach here to Whitey Ball, and that's a tough comparison.

Limey bastards? thats a bit much innit? No one said hate but you. I dont care to watch it, I dont like talking shite about it, because I dont appreciate people that know nothing about football putting it down. All I do know is, 162 games of anything is a bit extreme, especially a slow moving game such a rounders, err, baseball.
