Good luck, I'm actually in the same boat with the company I work for. My supervisor got a new job, and I have applied for his. I'm the best candidate knowledge wise, but now they're telling me that the position is on "hold".
Which actually means that they've realized that I can do the job in my current position, so now I do the work of two and still get paid the same crappy wage.
