Ok so the last really good night out I had here was when Lawler came in March last year - way to long ago!

Got really stoked cos Danny Howells was advertised as coming here next thursday- hoorah might have had two good nights in 12 months. Now he's not - not sure why, not even relevant actually!

But i've been building myself up for this for way too many weeks. . . i really need a night out!

As it happens on Friday Markus Shultz will be playing a different club and i know bugger all about him . . . except that the club he's playing is a trance club and i usually avoid it like the plague, (partly due to the music and partly due to the fact that the 'party goers' really make me feel old!). But man do i need a night out.

So here's a question to you all. . . what's Shultz like as a DJ and would a jaded prog head like me be able to cope with his brand of trance for three or four hours?

as far as trance goes, schulz's style is pretty mild and proggy to me at least.

i'd say he's on par with gabriel & dresden--that type of shtuff.

not as techy as max graham, not as cheesy as tiesto. somewhere in between =)

Very true. If you say it's a 'trance' club, chances are it may suck. But I've heard Markus throw down some dark stuff from time to time. It all depends on where he's playing. He just played in NYC last night, maybe someone who went can post their comments.
