Because you've heard it your whole life. I like the fact that if I heard it for the first time out of the mouth of someone else I wouldn't have known if they said Mike's Story or Mike Storey. I think audibly it has a little fun with the ears and brain. Believe me, I would be changing my name if I ever made it big, but I think yours works.
