Yeah the live mix didn't do much for me either...sounded like the usual warm up part of the set he loves to broadcast on his radio shows. If he played the peak time part people could rip a track of his mighty precious record box and you can't allow this no no no.

^^^exactly, Digweed needs to come back down to earth, he can keep his duff records imo, if fabric 20 is anything to go by lately he can keep them to himself, lifeless, souless garbage imoComment

I can't believe I'm agreeingOriginally posted by chemicalbeavis^^^exactly, Digweed needs to come back down to earth, he can keep his duff records imo, if fabric 20 is anything to go by lately he can keep them to himself, lifeless, souless garbage imo
But John's Kiss sets haven't been all that good for about a year or so (exceptions of a few here and there)

Grounds for being thrown out of the "other" board. However I AGREE with you. I HATE his Fabric CD. It's also true that it wouldn't hurt if he would show the rest of the world what he's capable of. I love and miss his "old" sound.Originally posted by chemicalbeavis^^^exactly, Digweed needs to come back down to earth, he can keep his duff records imo, if fabric 20 is anything to go by lately he can keep them to himself, lifeless, souless garbage imoComment

Re: Digweed's mix this week
I thought Johns Fabric CD was great. He could have easily put together a more "accepted" mix but he took a chance and showed everyone that it is not all about prog. Besides I wouldnt classify what John plays now typical prog in fact I wouldn't call it prog at all more like electronic music in all its forms. He just keeps pushing the boundaries and discovering NEW sounds, after all isnt that what a DJ is supposed to do.
Just my 2 cents.Comment

Well I seriuosly think that 2/27 set is more than just good, it feels like a real banging liveset by John the Man when he's in the mood to rain destrution on the dancefloorOriginally posted by superdaveImo, the 2/27 and 3/6 Digweed Kiss sets are good.

If the music has to be techy/electroish nowadays, let it be this philthy kind of techelectro

Re: Digweed's mix this week
With regards to the tracklisting - surely someone has it.Normally,if i tape the show, i flick through it and write down what john plays when he speaks, then i post it here.
Surely someoine who has downloaded it can click through and listen to the mix-it only takes about 10 minutes.
Of course its harder when its a live set as John doesnt speak at all in the hour .Comment

Re: Digweed's mix this week
I agree that the 2/27 sets sounds like a live one. He doesn't mention any song names and it's very upbeat. He only speaks during the mix that you're listening to Kiss 100.Never interrupt your enemy when he's making a mistake - Napoleon BonaparteComment
