so I met up with my now ex girlfriend today. She wanted to meet, I wasn't sure why, so I said why not. It gave me a little more closure. However, I don't see closure so much as being the end of thinking about someone. To me, closure means coming to a point where I understand why, or at least understand all the facts. It lets me mark the true end of the relationship, and that is extremely helpful for getting over someone faster. I have had relationships end that don't have any closure at all, even though I never spoke to the person again. These are more difficult to get over, but given enough time you do get over it.

Actually, my first relationship ended suddenly like that, and then in my next serious relationship which wasn't until 3 years later, the first girl emailed me out of the blue. I emailed her back to be nice, but never responded to the second one asking to meet. I felt I made the right decision, and was completely proved right when I found out from a friend that she had become a totaly psycho, lying and trying to get another friend of his arrested after he tried to break up with her.

I think that I have dated more crazy women than anyone. It has only served to screw me up.

So I provide this advice, which hopefully doesn't have to be learned from painful experience like in my case:

if you are normal and feel emotionally stable, do NOT continue to date someone if you find that they have problems which seem very strange to you, which seem wrong. You have to trust your instincts to know what I mean, but you will know. Do not continue in a bad relationship, no matter how hard it is. Do not. I know people out there have low self esteem. I am one of them. Do not get trapped in a bad relationship, it will fuck you up in your own future relationships. This has happened to me. I no longer trust women and I feel bad about myself.

But yea, I met with my ex girlfriend today after 6 days of being broken up. I didn't know what the hell she was thinking. She says

her: "you seem quiet, like you feel awkward or something?"
me(thinking): well no fucking shit, how the hell would you like me to feel?

...later....

her: "I just don't have the evergy to help you with your issues"
me: "but I help and support you with yours"
her: "I guess you just have more energy than me or something"

anyways, it sucked. bad idea

Hail hail! Words to live by in singlehood. Spring is a great time to start anew, as girls all seem to be going crazy. Just make sure she is not really crazy, as in bipolar or borderline.

I agree, I should print that and hang it up. On the other hand, I have always had bad luck with girls. I've never had a relationship that even lasted one year and I'm 25!
