Pole Folder mix is awesome IMO.I dont usually love a mix after just one listen,but this one is different.Listened to it a 2nd time this morning and it still rocks.Thew tune about 10 minutes in,with the guy talking about 'Puerto rican harlem' is really funky!

One minor grate is the tone of the blokes voice on the first track after the break-god that really annoys me!

The last track is the best in the mix.Its down as 'Pole Folder-JD Kiss Outro' but its about 7 minutes long and is an awesome track!

The MP3 says it's in stereo, but does it sound like it's in stereo? There's virtually no stereo separation...it sounds like it may have been recorded that way (by PF, I mean). When I look at the level meters, they aren't showing any difference. As certainly opposed to the Digweed mix, and any of the other mixes I've downloaded from [ms].

ah well...if that's the way it was broadcast there's nothing we can do about it.

EDIT: checked out the mix in a wave editor and there are two "channels" of the same thing, sample for sample. Interestingly enough, I had the same problem when I tried to record something from Realplayer not too long ago. It may be a setting in recording program, or it may have been broadcast like that.

I just opened it in Soundforge and it looks and also sounds normal to me. As you are the only one with this problem you should maybe download the set again. If it was a problem with the recording, it would have happened to Digweed's mix as well as both shows are recorded without changing anything in between from Chem.

Okay...I found it- I'm not going crazy: Check out the Digweed mix, at exactly 27:25. There's a "flub" sound and then the mix is in mono for the rest of the set. If you listen a few seconds before the skip, the change is more obvious- the sound stage collapses. Using headphones might make it even more obvious.

I don't think there's any way this error could be a consequence of downloading...I'm redownloading the PF set just to be sure. Please check it out- I bet you'll hear it.

just had a listen to the 'Zero Gold' promo..

Sure is an interesting album, although I would have liked to see more tracks like 'Salvation on Slavery Sins' on there. The vocal tracks, sung by Ferretti, Harland and Hawshaw remind me a lot of Madonna's 'Ray of Light' album. Not bad, but not smashing either IMO. Perhaps I need to give a 2nd listen.

If you're having a problem with the sound of this Pole Folder set then jump over to Bijou Breaks and download the Pole Folder set that was broadcast on Ricky Stone's 'Stoned in Asia' show on Eccentric Beats. I actually prefer that mix as it includes 'Salvation of Slavery Sins' which imho is just a phenomenal track.

This set is definitely one of the finest guest mixes of the year so far. That first track is gold.

However, these commercial breaks in the middle of the sets have to go. Nothing kills my flow when I'm jogging like a promotion for trance.
