This has to be possibly the best live album I've ever heard, surpassing their other live album imo. I bought this cd twice (lost it once years ago in a car crash and then bought another which got totally scratched.)

same here...love that cd and had to buy them twice as well (once just to replace my worn out cassettes). Floyd are just so damn talented and that is really so hard to show live, but they never fail to impress. I've got many other live concerts of theirs if you're interested.

I'll be more than happy to hook you all up over the weekend, though unfortunately I don't have pompeii, but I have a few of their concerts from the 70s and one early 90s one. I'll have to check which ones.

what the pioneers of progressive are to us, pink floyd is to rock....lets just say Tool is the new age pink floyd, but no one could ever come close to replicating the music floyd constructed. they are like the john digweeds of their time.

if you listen to ANYTHING from them, listen to "Dark Side of the Moon"..1973/1974 and STILL going stong all these years later...

They were oh so close to reuniting last year...I pray for music's sake they do for one last tour...complete sellouts everywhere if they do.

just go smoke some hippie lettuce and get live in pompeii and watch it on your surround sound with the lights off and the volume turned up so high that every pink floyd lover in your neighbourhood will be pounding down your door for a piece of the action....

I have wathced that video probably more times than any other piece of film around......Total classic Floyd....this is were it all started for me back in junior high!!!
