I dunno, me personally, I never thought Jimmy Van M was a spectacular stage show. I didn't dig his Bedrock CD too much either. I saw him open for Sasha & Digweed in April 2002 (I'm sketchy on the year) and he looked so bored and uninspired. You'd think being included on a tour with none other than Sasha & Digweed would make you one helluva happy guy.

Yes, and if so, he wont be there. He couldnt play in Canada just the other day for that reason, so its unlikely he will be in the UK

he couldn't come to canada for this reason. that's how simon knows.
we were all to drive up to vancouver for his show this friday. he couldn't get out of the country as he was red flagged by the us since he is an illegal alien. he's been working ways of getting this taken care of... so hopefully he'll show up for you.

On behalf everyone at Noble House, BBC1 & The Alien Mental Association I am extremely devastated to announce that tonights show has been cancelled. I received a call at 10am this morning from Jimmy's agency informing me that Jimmy was not allowed to leave the US due to having been red flagged by the INS (US immigration).
Born in Belgium, Jimmy is a resident alien in the States and has been red flagged for international travel. The situation is not good and he has been told that he will not as of now to be able to travel internationally in the forseeable future. I would like to stress that this is through no fault what so ever on our part and that his worker validation through Human Resources Canada was secured and in place. Having taken the last year off promoting events this is not the re-entry we were hoping for, obviously. A brilliantly painful reminder to myself as to why we have not been doing events as of lately. This is not to say that we still don't have a few aces up our sleeves for sometime down the road, because we do. So for the moment we are grounded, down but not out.
We came close to talking Pascal into stepping up to the plate but this was also not to be. Having conferred with Sugar and all our partners the descision was made to cancel the night. We regret the reality of disappointment this delivers to all that were looking forward to this evening. I should have known something was up when I allowed myself to get excited about the show.

i think he plays the beatles track though, but i had no problem with it.
