Could China be gearing up for a rush on Taiwan? They have stated they would take the land back, even if by force.

Dude...look a bit further: even in the UN security council it has become really obvious that Russia and China are trying to oppose US influence in the world...this game is being played at all levels right now. Fuck, a lot is starting to make sense to me now, but I'm pretty sure I'm only gasping the top of an iceberg at this point.

Ok think about this, Russia is huge, alot of people but rather poor. They could be trying to use China, since the Chinese economy is growing at a very fast pace. Chinese goods are being sold all over the world at cheaper prices than other goods. Many times the products are simply cheaper quality, but people don't care, only price is important. The govt. in China runs everything, they are making the money.

China has a one child policy. Some families will get rid of a little girl if she is the one child. Many families want a boy for inheritance and family land issues, so the military grows ever bigger and bigger.

I don't really like the direction its all heading.

Hey, maybe Russia has no plan to do anything, but they only want to be on the side of their neighbor, so that their neighbor won't turn against them.

Let suppose for a moment, it was 2000.

Someone typed a thread here saying they had heard friends talking about some big hit on the US from middle eastern terrorist.

We would sit back and say, yeah, they tried that before. Big deal. How could they possibly do anything of significance in the US?

As I mentioned, it is a serious problem of protecting Taiwan from China. The Chinese have made it known, they WILL take China back.

So the question is, could this happen and what would be the military ramifications of such a move by China? Would the US protect Taiwan as they promised?


Read some of this blog, they are much more informed than me. Its interesting anyway, and I believe something we should be thinking about.

Hey check this out.

Here a great story of a guy working undercover for the Army and FBI trying to follow a hacker who was getting into sensitive govt data traced the hacker back to China. Combine this story with the military games ...

This is serious if true. Its worth reading anyway.

Rob, that last link you prived is pretty damn interesting, and gives a good insight of what we, the common citizens, don't know....

Runningman, it may not have anything to do with communism primarily, I even doubt that seriously. Think more in the direction of forming a new political/military block in the world, thus creating a new pole in politics. Look at their behaviour in the UN, their votes...it's all about opposing the US as a superpower.

And, I think China is moving rapidly toward being a superpower in every area they can possibly dominate. Alot of money is flowing into China now, and govt takes all of it.

Think about it ... what is communism?

Maybe Russia is somewhat in need of a neighbor Allie, and not a neighbor enemy who could probably run over them in a heartbeat.

China is smart, and a billion people strong. They have been around for 5000 years. Russia could actually hope to gain from the Chinese in some way. Lets hope they don't have aspirations of moving back toward communism, but they could.

Russia=Political Power, as unstable as it is

China=Economical Power

The two combined could be like an icebreaker through the US iceberg of power.

That just leaves India up for grabs.
