dog get expensive. heres what can ya do. I can suggest checking out KC's thrifty nickle if they still have them sitting at the grocery stores. If the person is paying for an ad in the Star they aren't getting rid of their dog cheap or easy. If that doesn't work check with local pounds and vets in the area. somewhere someone is wanting to get rid a dog.

even at the Humane Society or animal kennels, they charge you a 'donation' fee.
nothing in life is free. not even breathing.

the KC Star does have at least 100 free pups/dogs, but I just can't believe how greedy people get. :?

Dude, you should adopt. I'm not one to flame you for buying, all puppies need a home but if you just go down to your local Human Society I guarentee you will fall in love. Its only like $60-$70.

I've considered it. I think i'd rather have a 1-yr old than a pup so i don't need to worry about potty training and craziness

you touch a poop hole everyday. in the dogs case you dont actually touch the hole. gotta be some good in that.

dude thoroughbreds can be very very expensive, I know in New Delhi, they sold a few thoroughbred race and show dogs at nearly 2 million dollars each pup so that $1800 sounds mighty reasonable for a household pooch

1800 for a dog is crazy but not uncommon. The first thing I would do is go to the local pound at least to have a look and see what they got. If you dont see anything that you like then look at thoroughbreds. I just got a golden retriever but I only paid 250 euro for her.
