I've tried about everything under the sun and the big C just never tickled my fancy. But I quit everything some time ago simply because there was nothing i really enjoyed doing anymore, except pot, but my fiancee frowns upon it now, so i had to give that up

i couldnt be with a girl, if she thought smoking weed was a "drug habit"
just couldnt do it.
i dont smoke cigarettes, and if i were going to, i would have started by now.
i consider weed to be my 'cigarettes' so in my head, its a justified "drug habit"

"(Using) it significantly increases the risk of convulsions, brain damage, strokes, heart attacks and serious mental illness, including schizophrenia."
ya, if you are using it regularly. semirecreational use is relatively safe, but they'd never admit that, cause that would go against the drug war.
semirecreational use will almost always lead to regular use ... Not today ... not tomorow ... but with time you`ll want more and more ... and you`ll say ... Aaaah wtf ... there`s no way I can become addicted ... let me have some more ... And all this because once your body gets used to it ... you will need more and more and more ... and more ...
no man, anyone with some will power can use it and be ok. its very possible. just set limits, do it a few times a year and thats it. the article itself says only 1 in 10 who try it get hooked (when you compare that to something like booze or smokes, its a pretty low figure).
Although there is a lot lot weak diluted shit around nowadays with everyone trying to make a quick buck i also think your body has built up a tolerance to pills and it takes more than just one to give you the same hit you used to get back in the old days.
A friend of mine who works for a local drug harm reduction group told me that the human brain needed 6-8 weeks to fully "recover" from one night's "extensive" use of pills. Even if you take more pills, you don't get the same feeling and the same "energy", because you don't have enough neuro-transmitters (or sth.). So, technically speaking one should have at least a 6 week break after the using pills once and I know I almost never took a break that long.

No need to appologize for falling in love and getting your life in order.
Well thanks, but my life was never really out of order. All that overblown stuff you see in the "just tell your friends/family you were smoking pot, they'll understand" commercials never happened to me. I never lost a job, never robbed anyone, never caused anyone's death. I probably spend way too much time watching cartoon network, but that's about the only bad thing that happened to me. I guess I'm not a very good example of why not to do drugs.

Let me clarify "frowns upon it." She used to smoke more than I did, but not anymore for her own reasons. Neither us of consider it a "drug habit" and there was never a point when she gave me an ultamadem or anything like that. Despite what I may have implied, I decided this on my own accord (I just use her as justification.) I know that sounds pretty weak, but you can think what you like. And I don't judge anyone so bake away

Good "E" is damn hard to come by... unless you make it yourself
move to Miami! never seems to be a problem there. I made it out while I still could. Been back three times already this year. Miami es miami!!!
Also, if you have to talk to Charlie more than a few times a night, it ain't clean!!! If your nose hates you the next day, it ain't clean!! The good ol'days are ova!

thats true, but you cant get addicted if u cant afford to have it every day. I as a student and some part time job can aford it 3-4 times a month, so for now it is impossible. When i graduate, i will probbably become a good guy, without charlie.
I take Viagra and Prozac together. If I can't get it up, I don't care.
Sometimes its really ironic to see the results of technological development.
The size of the quid of coca leaves that can be comfortably accomodated by a person is such that it is unlikely that coca chewing, as practiced for centuries in places like Macchu Piccu, presents the dangers that may result from the modern forms of recreational use.
What a pity for the modern world!!
..its also impresive to realise that the most people act as a big crowd of sheeps and they accept everything without really think what is best for themselves and the environment..in that way only the "big heads" survive in the name of glory and money..what a shame for the rest of the world..
Its true that the effects of coca leaves are not so strong as the processed powder but..God made grass..man made booze..who do you trust???
I wish all people could think in a better and more beneficial way so our world would have been more pleasant in all aspects..
I can only back up what the report has stated.I work in a substance misuse clinic for the nhs here in the UK.I can honestly not remember the last referral we had for people absuing pills. It is always heroin, but cocaine is rapidly increasing. Its just the drug of fashion at the minute. Its an absolute nightmare to get off as well (or so i've been told)For heroin you can medically substitute it,but not so for cocaine.
I'm sure i heard that cocaine isn't physically addictive and in my own experiences i would agree with this, i think it's the social aspect that becomes habitual, if i cane a couple of G over a weekend, i dont crave for it the day after or anything, i recently gave up smoking after 20 years, and that was addictive, i went through hell, i'm not advocating the use of cocaine or anything, it sure is bad for you, but the conception that you will become "hooked" is rubbish imo.
