My overreaction was to ensure that u guys know that I am completely happy for you guys, and to hopefully provide perspective for ska about why I was not excited... so he knows I dont want him to feel bad, cause he's a good guy and I dont wanna hurt his feelings. No hurt feelings, not in the least. It is our intention, as outrageous a thought it may be, to get others out in their respective areas and slap the mercurysessions and/or mercuryserver name on a night they throw in hopes of serving a reciprocating benefit. Not only will people then come to the site, see what we're about, etc. but those that are in your area (we do have over 5500 members now) who may not frequent the board as often as we losers do, will see the name on the flyer and it will trigger the memory of that 'place to get cool downloads' or 'that neat message board' or 'that awesome online radio station' and will bring them out to the show.

well in NYC, the big discussion board for EDM and very tight with local events is Rythymism. I love it for its information, but there is a handful of them who are always out and never do anything other than kiss DJ ass or try to and I've never actually seen them actually dance. So not so much competition,and they dont have music going for them, but lets think of good ways to package the great music "edge" we have going for us that will not only bring people in, but will stop/ditract/minimize them coming in with a leecher mindset. What will nip that "leecher-mindseed" in the bud from the get-go....?

I should just state where I am coming from on this one... Habersham doesnt really do anything for me (I do not think he is bad at all, just not my cup of tea) and his name doesn't have the same level of familiarity and excitement attached to it up here in NY. Then again NY and FL have very different sounds and tastes when it comes to EDM in general... you guys Break for Breaks.... We walk everywhere.....

LOLOLOL. I'd go into all thats wrong with this post, but hopefully it's obvious to anyone that doesn't have some conga's shoved up there ass from the nyc diva vocal tribal disco house scene. it did provide a quality laugh tho.
