I'm sure i heard that cocaine isn't physically addictive
Well, I guess you heard wrong. Cocaine can cause a terrible physical addiction, which is supposedly much worse than the heroin addiction. It is not as easy to get addicted, but once you are, the way out is very hard to find.

Nope it's hard physical addiction with craving, shaking and everything else included. I once read an article why all the south American Indians never developped any form of addiction although constantly chewing coke leaves. It is because coke leaf itself contains an antidote against the addictive substances. so, basically coke leaves contain the "venom" and the "antidote". But cocaine is produced by removing the antidote substances, thus strengthening its effects and making it...

thats garbage, there is no physical addiction associated with cocaine use. find an article that says otherwise...
I don?t think that cocaine is pycsically addictive, although it would be difficult to prove either way. No scientist is going to delcare that is isn?t, especailly in the USA. They?d lose their funding straight away.
I'm sure crackheads and cokeheads steal, lie, and whore themselves because of the "social aspect" of the drug.
I'm not anti-drug in the least, but I hate it when people lie to themselves about the drugs they use. But in my experience, that is usually what happens anyway with prolonged use.
Well i gotta say that i have know 2 guys that got into some serious problems with cocaine (no not me ya fuckers) Both were guys that actually dealt the stuff out and both snorted as much as they sold. When i asked them they said they sold it just to fund their habbit. It wasnt just a weekend thing either, they were at it all through the week too.
I think it`s down to the person`s own willpower and human makeup as to wether you`ll find yourself addicted or not, i myself only do coke on the occasional weekend and do not for one instance think about it during the week.
Sorry, my bad... Coke doesn't cause physical addiction, it causes a psychological addiction, because of physiological changes in the brain. I get a little confused with all the definitions. But anyway, extensive and regular use is bad, like with any other drug...

No, not yet. I spend most of my time at work and home now. I don't DJ anymore, just produce. Heh, I'm pretty boring these days, but I'll be moving to San Francisco by the end of the year so I'm happy about that.

you'd better learn the difference between physical and psychological addiction before you get all pissy. physical addiction causes withdrawals, usually quite nasty ones - people usually experience extreme flu symptoms. things like opiates and nicotine cause withdrawals. hell, benzodiazapine (things like valium, xanax) withdrawals can KILL you. cocaine, on the other hand, does not cause withdrawals...the body does not become dependant on it, only the mind. which is why its not as addictive as other classes of drugs.
