Pardon the rant, but is there anyone out there who didn't beat Columbus to the Americas? First the Vikings, now the Chinese. Every time Columbus Day rolls around and I don't get my mail and can't go to the bank because we're honoring this tardy-ass clown, it just pisses me off.

Fuck Columbus, and the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria he rode in on.

one of these days the great historians of the world will have to share and compare notes. the differences between the history of western civilization and eastern civilizations probably hold many more similarities than we could even imagine. it seems that only within the past 50 - 100 years that humankind could actually begin to overlap some of the pages of history from many different cultures. we might all have to reducate ourselves.
