You serious Steve? 100th Window sucked ass. NOTHING beats Protection and Blue Lines... Pretty much all of their work till Mezzanine is top notch. 100th Window was a huge disappiontment if youre a long-time MA fan...

This "new" album seems nothing more than a collection of their live acts... MA is AWESOME live btw way, saw them at the Brixton in 2004. Amazing!

ive been lucky enough to catch them live 3 times creamfields 2003 then in 2004 for the 100th window tour i think musically all their stuff has been awesome and i wouldnt wanna single out one album or one track
Its all about the progression of their sound also the new collaberations and moving on of the artist that are MASSIVE ATTACK!!!!

Thought 100th Window was excellent, really clearly produced - wasnt it just 3G then and not the other 2 members?

Blue Lines is quality, protection I thought was so-so and same goes for mezzanine. Great group though

well this was the first massive attack cd i heard so i really enjoyed it. shortly thereafter i sought out the others you mentioned and have enjoyed them as well. they're a great band.

I liked it too. Really enjoyed "Prayer to England" and "What your Soul Sings." Im a big fan of Tricky as well, love that downtempo stuff!

I couldn't agree more. Blue Lines is still tops in my book, but my wife'll take protection any day. They're both so awesome and 100th window just pales in comparison to any of those first 3 albums...

MASSIVE ATTACK ANNOUNCE DETAILS FOR ?COLLECTED?

Released 27th March 2006


Massive Attack have made four albums to date, each one extraordinary in its own right. ?Blue Lines?, ?Protection?, ?Mezzanine? and ?100th Window? all pushed musical boundaries and made their mark.

With these critically acclaimed albums clocking up 9 million sales, a clutch of awards and a new album due for release in early 2007, the time felt right for a Massive Attack Best Of, an apt reminder of their musical legacy to date. The album, entitled ?Collected?, features tracks chosen by the band, including such gems as ?Unfinished Sympathy?, ?Safe From Harm?, ?Protection?, ?Teardrop? and ?Angel?.

The special edition of ?Collected? contains a bonus CD comprising of a new compilation of rare and reworked material as well as brand new recordings, whilst the flip side features a DVD of all the videos to date.

The album will be preceded by a brand new single on 13th March, ?Live With Me?, featuring Terry Callier on vocals. Written by Robert Del Naja, Neil Davidge and Terry Callier, and produced by Del Naja and Davidge, this track sees a return to a more soulful sound for Massive Attack, while retaining the lush production of their more recent albums. The powerful new video is directed by Jonothan Glazer, his first in six years.

Massive Attack are currently in the studio and have completed seven tracks for their fifth album, ?Weather Underground?, with long time cohort and co-producer Neil Davidge. At present, they are dividing time between Bristol and New York where they have been recording with Dave Sitek and TV On The Radio, one of several collaborations for the album.

The band will be performing a series of live dates and festivals throughout the summer and autumn of 2006, details of which will be announced in due course.

Waste of money for most I guess.

The DVD is exactly the same as their Eleven Promos DVD, only with a couple of extra tracks on the end.
