Re: crystal meth...
not worth a debate, not condoning anything, but it is ignorant to lump them all together with the same warning signs/side effects, because they are all VERY different, and different for different people, and I think it's dangerous to not at least acknowledge the truth behind things (no matter how ugly that truth may be)
As an example I can say without a single doubt that Alchohol ruined my Father's life,
resulted in him being abusive mentally, physically, sexually, and suicidally (unsuccessfully). And ultimately it killed him and permanantly damaged the rest of the family, myself included.
Cocaine did the same for his sister, except she is still alive and her husband that she shot in the head is the dead one... (this was 15 years ago and I totally don't give it a thought until things like this come up)
My point being this, I don't think that my father's or his sister's behavior can be ultimately blamed on substance(s), it in a large part is dependant upon who a person is, and what they are capable of (and what they can live with on their conscience) However, there is no denying the fact that these things can be helped along and amplified greatly by impaired judgement, self-inflicted or otherwise.Comment

Re: crystal meth...
yes i totally agree.. the problems are as diverse as life can be and it´s dangerous to build a certain picture in order to personalize meth. Re: crystal meth...
the bottom line is that by using drugs you are putting yourself at risk of addiction. i know because i have many demons of my own, and i'm not even bad off. at least i have some self control but i cannot imagine what it would be like to be completely locked into a drug that runs/ruins your life. to lose your friends and family, and all asperations and goals is terrible. people take drugs for different reasons, not that it is wrong. but you are for sure putting yourself at risk. i would never put heroin/meth/crack in my body because i know my own addictive tendencies and i know it will ruin my life.Fly? Yes. Land? No!Comment

Re: crystal meth...
Chuck Norris should be in the next selection of anti-drug commercials.
He would roundhouse kick the meth dealer and say, "You can't count to infinity twice if you do drugs children." and then step on his balls.
On a serious note, I have had an uncle die of a heroine overdose, it was his younger brother who found him slumped in the tub full of water. Drugs are bad but the whole superman complex of I have a strong will, etc...shatters when reality becomes distorted and the psyche is tricked into believing everything is alright. I don't sympathize with any of those individuals, they chose to walk that path. The sailors of the United States Navy are among the most disciplined, devoted, and well-trained fighting men the world has ever known. They drink gasoline and piss fire, The spit bullets and shit bombs, and will swim across the ocean with a knife in their teeth just for the chance to carve up those that threaten their homeland.Comment

Re: crystal meth...
Exactly... That was what I was trying to get at. I have made mistakes and believe me they were bad, not overly extreme but bad. I could have choose the route that would have taken me to those extremes but I didn't and it is because of my character. Character of a person has IMO dropped off the scale when people look at these drug addicts that are 35 and fucked up. Bullshit! I could see where that might be more of an instance if you were born and your mother and father were drug dealers or whatever and didn't teach you the difference between right and wrong. Yes those cases are a pity. But just because you didn't get your way in life and you turn to meth and now everyone is just suppose to be all worried about you and you fuck up everyone's life like your playing six steps to myself instead of Kevin Bacon then fuck you!Originally posted by fumanchu182I don't sympathize with any of those individuals, they chose to walk that path.
Life is to short for this crap, we all need to take more respect in what we do in life that effects others. If you don't then you are one of the problems.Comment

Re: crystal meth...
Ultimately, no matter what the topic, drugs, religion, politics, business/money.... the bottom line is exactly what you just said, what we do in life that effects others. Just make sure to remind yourself that no matter what motivates a person, if they want it badly enough to step on or even trample people to get it, they will. What scares me most about this, is how amazingly good people are at justifying this sort of behavior as "the right or moral thing to do".Originally posted by DJJEFFJONESLife is too short for this crap, we all need to take more respect in what we do in life that effects others. I don't think that we need to shout from the mountaintops that drugs can quite easily fuck your life up, it's quite obviously a personal choice whether or not to heed those warnings...
It's quite funny how someone can be dilusional and paranoid of an imaginary forboding entity from drugs, and they are obviously crazy.... yet at the same time there is a large majority of this country trying to pass into law, even constitutional in some cases; ideals, restrictions, and ludicrously nonsensical "intelligent design theories" based on their faiths that blatantly ignore facts and reality all while unapologetically effecting if not demeaning others. When are these people going to be held accountable for their behavior and become as socially unnacceptable as their arrogance warrants?
I don't believe that this will happen, at least not in our lifetime, nor does this apply to everyone who is of any given faith.... however, the hypocrisy behind the assumption that anyone who uses any drug is a bane to society or simply a bad person sadly continues to be accepted and encouraged, without hesitation to recognize or consider an individuals values and respect towards others...
WORDY as fuck, I know, but the stigma and double standard exists, even for those of us live their daily lives to the code of "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I find it difficult to sympathize with ANYONE who doesn't think or behave as though this rule applies to them.Comment

Re: crystal meth...
WHERE did I say that smoking pot was pathetic? I'd be pathetic for like the past 10yrs or so.Originally posted by 3d_1200i say the same thing for people who try to act 'all tough 'n' shit' because you look down on people who make different choices then you. everyone has different motivations for evertyhing.
i agree that defining your image through substances is pathetic. but saying someone that enjoys smoking pot is 'pathetic' and stuck in puberty is pure ignorance.
anyways, my whole point is the only attitutde thats been pathetic on this thread, is yours.
anyways, my whole point is that I don't give a flying shit about what u might think of me if you're too stoned to read what I REALLY post and make yourself look interesting 'n' shit by making up things
