I've read in some other conspiraracy theories involving Israel and Saudi. But this was a couple of years back, and I don't remember the details. And of course, I am not saying any of these theories are true at all.

im just wondering where a physics professor and a theologian gained more expertise on a building fire over the architect who designed it, structural engineer who oversaw the construction, another who oversaw the rebuilding after 93, the chemical inspector , fire inspector and a fire captain who were assigned to the building . also toasty you are right, the buildins were designed with the purpose of collapsing in catastrpohy as to not comp[letly destroy lower manhatten. delirios obviosly hasnt been to NYC and cant fathom how big these things were, and how close to each other they were/

Hell, i don't have a clue to the real backgrounds to what happened, I just know that 1 plane flew into each building and they collapsed. I personally would think it a rather big operation to rig those buildings with explosives, and simply don't think that it was controlled demolition: in fact, I have no idea how this happened since it shouldn't have, but I have no problem living with questions per sé.

To me the case is still open, althoug if there is a conspiracy, OBL is definitely part of it, that is sure. And if there is a conspiracy, it's not revolving around the damn collapse either IMO, but around much deeper going issues in politics and below that.

Might I also add, in response to those that say that no steel building has ever fallen as a result of fire before, it's not as if we really have anything on the same scale to compare this with. There are only a handful of buildings in the world that are even close to the same size as the WTC, and I'm not aware of any of them ever being struck by commercial airlines. It's not as it engineers and physicists construct 110 story buildings and fly planes into them to see what will happen. We're kinda in virgin territory here.

Also, does anyone else here remember when OBL expressed surprise in that one video that the towers actually collapsed? He clearly said that he wasn't expecting that. You'd think if there were charges preset in the building, he of all people would have been aware of that. Otherwise, you'd looking at the ridiculous situation where someone had planted charges on the building but, as luck would have it, OBL and his crew decided to attack the towers that same day.

Believe it or not, a physics professor is able to tell you about BASIC LAWS OF SCIENCE. I'm also leaving this thread as no-one is able to give a single answer to one of my questions.

To recap:

For a 1,300-foot building, ten seconds is almost free-fall speed. But if each floor produced just a little resistance, so that breaking through each one took a half second, the collapse of all those floors ? 80 or 95 of them ? would have taken 40 to 47 seconds.

Can we really believe that the upper part of the buildings encountered virtually no resistance from the lower parts?

Who are really the conspirary theorists...the people who run when the facts are debated? The people who say "It's so because so and so said so"? The same people who claimed Iraq was a threat?

So two separate plane crashes caused floors in both buildings to collapse straight and symetrically down, crushing 80 floors of concrete and steel with no resistance, causing a fire in another building which also fell symetrically to the ground, causing molten steel for weeks afterwards on the sites of all three buildings?

Believe it or not ---- when any object falls on another object, resistance occurs. Especially when it's concrete slabs falling on eachother at 20-30mph!!!

No actual models or buildings (before or since 9-11-01) have been observed to completely collapse due to the proposed fire-based mechanisms. On the other hand, dozens of buildings have been completely and symmetrically demolished through the use of pre-positioned explosives. And high-temperature chemical reactions can account for the observed large pools of molten metal, under both Towers and WTC 7, and the sulfidation of structural steel. The controlled-demolition hypothesis cannot be dismissed as "junk science" because it better satisfies tests of repeatability and parsimony. It ought to be seriously (scientifically) investigated and debated.
