Rob Dowell - Free Form One (April 2006)

[Jibgolly]

Jenks is responsible for showing me this mix, but once i heard it i emailed Rob to ask if its ok to share it over here too. well nobody says no to free promotion, right!

enjoy this one kids. its a real masterpiece!

i've just finished up a mix project that i'm very excited about. i expect it to be the first of a series, entitled FreeForm. it was made in Ableton Live and it's a bit different than what i usually do. instead of mixing tracks in the traditional sense, i took sections or pieces of tracks and put them together, almost in a collage fashion. at times there are as many as 4 separate tracks playing at once; rarely is there just one playing. i know most of you know all of these tracks, but hopefully you haven't heard them put together like this

the following tracks were used either in sections or as a whole:
1. Lump-Kohina 3 [Futuredub]
2. Darius Bassiray-Lorenzo (Habersham Remix) [Proton Music]
3. Louderbach-Selling Souls [Underline]
4. Inxec-Obol [Contexterrior]
5. Douglas Greed-Delicate (Hemmann + Kaden Remix) [Combination Records]
6. Der Dritte Raum-Chido Wey (Jon Gaiser Remix) [Resopal Schallware]
7. Alex Smoke-Formax [Soma Recordings]
8. Akina-Spring Flower [Maschine]
9. John Tejada-Asanebo [Poker Flat]
10. Ellen Allien-Turbo Dreams (Pier Bucci Remix) [Bpitch Control]
11. Theodor Zox-Extruder (Maetrik Remix) [Tic Tac Toe Records]
12. Stratos-Hole In a Red Hose [Kickboxer Recordings]
13. Butane + Someone Else-Tigerbitch (Jeremy P. Caulfield Remix) [Alphahouse]
14. Erik Bessier + Frank Lorber-Micropacer 1 [Nummer]
15. Erik Bessier + Frank Lorber-Micropacer 2 [Nummer]
