The main thing to worry about on the first years of the car are probably the emissions sensors. Anything else is easily touchable and replaceable. It's not hard at all to work on a car and saves you some major cash too. What else is gonna break in just the first five years of a car? If you've got things going bad, I'd seriously rethink the decision to buy that vehicle.

Re: Mazda3
Yah different priorites for different people...I choose to live 30 miles from where I work, so my SUV is becoming obsolete at this point. Cars bridge gaps depending on what a persons needs are. If you need to feel important all of the time, yah a Benz is your best bet. I'm still starting out in a new career so it'll be a couple of yrs till I make serious $$$ and enjoy the status that comes with it...
It was fun while it lasted...

Re: Mazda3
If you want quality, do not buy a Benz. That is, if you're gonna keep it more than a year. If you're gonna keep it for less, then go for it and you shouldn't see too many problems.Comment

yep.Originally posted by beanzncheezIf you want quality, do not buy a Benz.
benz are chryslers = lemons. they're getting some of the worst reliability ratings these days.
whoever said they'll never buy japanese, then you'll never have the best made cars.
fact: mazda = ford - and ford cars blow goats for milk, as do most american automobiles.
the only ford worth owning is their trucks, and i suppose mustangs for entheusiasts.
acura/honda...lexus/toyota...infinity/nissan - in that order in terms of quality, imo anyway.
(the new gs450 is flipping sweet tho.)
love german cars, but they've been taking a hit lately in consumer reports.Comment

Re: Mazda3
Actually, the IS is based on the Camry platform and the Hybrid version is already out.Originally posted by tsesanThe new Camrys have a hint of the Lexus IS design. And they are coming out with a hybrid version.Comment

Re: Mazda3
yes the IS is a loaded camry with diff headlights, taillights, body mouldings, and few additional gadgets. I didn't think the Hybrid was out yet beaner... is it ?
That will be one hell of a value vehicle. If you negotiate well, you could pick up a loaded Camry (blue tooth, nav, push button start, hybrid, leather, etc.) for right around 28,5 - 29 grand. Not to mention you'll get between 37 - 44 mpg. Fantastic value for money.
I was NEVER a camry person cause every other indian who makes it here either gets a camry or an accord and they've been pretty much stereotyped. But this new camry is really turning heads with its agressive style. I for one really like it a lot.www.mjwebhosting.com

Re: Mazda3
You guys are thinking of the Lexus ES, the IS does not share a platform with the Camry.
Toyota does make some badass hybrids though, FWIW. I'm not sure how much I'm sold on that technology. It does reduce fuel consumption, but not that much, and has the potential for creating a lot of waste in the future as batteries start getting replaced.Beats are my crack.Comment
