I know Dave, never disputed that in fact nor Israel's right to do us all a favor...
However, this is a new one: free Lebanon from Hezbollah's control. I'm all for that, but imo it's a job for multinational armed forces. If the Israeli military is going to do that, the fundamentalists will abuse that in order to gain even more support for their actions against Israel imo.
1559 doesnt talk about clearing lebanon from Hizbollah control, its talks about disarming ALL militia and stoping out side (Syrian and Iranian) meddling.
This is how it will play out.
The UN, that worthless shitty organisation, will enable an international force to go into South Lebanon. It will take a few weeks, in the meantime, we will continue to battle Hizbollah and move them further north - clearing a 'security zone' around the border with Israel. When the International force comes in, we will leave.
Not quite sure how we will get our two guys back. . . but thank fuck I aint a military planner!

That's what I'm thinking. Seems like all these terrorists are more content with winning the media war than anything else. Makes perfect sense because the more dead Lebonese civlilians shown on TV, the more people turn to Hezbollah's side. I just wish these people were smart enough to realize they are getting played. But why bother when you can riot in the streets, burning American and Israeli flags and chanting "DEATH TO AMERICA...DEATH TO ISRAEL!!!" Seems like the national pastime over there. I'm sure if we won the World Cup they'd do the same thing.

Interesting to see how this is playing out with Russia... I have spoken with some clients who are from countries near Russia and they say that the Ukraine has been poking Russia for many yrs now but that Ukraine is being used by Israel ... I know Russia is not keen on the the Ukraine joining NATO.... but that's about all I understand. What a mess.
