Love a good storm. I live in St. Louis, so I know exactly where you are coming from on this -- we get some wicked storms here, where it is black as night during the day, lightning streaking across the sky, thunder rumbling in the background. I've got a room on the back of my house that is basically an enclosed porch -- perfect for storm watching!

Heck ya. Love the rain and cloudy skies. A lot of times even more because most of the people around me can't seem to enjoy it. "Oh great weather we're having eh." "Yes, I love it." They seem to think I'm sarcastic. Same thing with Colorado winters and snow storms.
Its raining right now here, and even though I feel cooped up usually since there are no windows in the office I work in, I love hearing it all take place outside. The best storms like this I've experienced were in Nebraska, just about the only thing going for the state.
Some of them were just downright evil, I love it.

no pc, tv, telephone, stereo equipment, etc, for me during a thunderstorm. i can usually be found sitting in a hallway of my apartment, far away from a window nervously chain smoking till the damn thing goes away... :WTF:sigpicComment

Just this morning, a thunder made me jump out of bed. It was the strongest stomr I remember seeing in this city. The wind made the blinds bang against the windows, and the rain and hail stones sounded like someone was banging against them.
I opened the kitchen window to try and see something, because the amount of rain falling wouldn't let me see anything through the glass. And it was amazing, the walls of my building were just waterfalls, hte wind pressed the rain against them, and I live on the second floor, so I was watching 9 floors of a waterfall coming down right there. With the thunders and lightnings it was even more surreal, a moving white wall of water was all I could see apart from the walls.
Just a 1% image of what Florida might be expecting anyway.. but it was great watching it .Comment
