i haven't seen anything that big since gilbert waaaaaaaaay a long time ago. that was NOT a fun storm to be in. and when they say evacuate, listen to them.

They say it's twice as big as Charly that just ripped through here which is absolutely amazing considering how destructive that storm was.

trade winds. they blow the storms south towards africa before europe gets to see em like they hit in southern US.

Hurricanes suck!! Last one I remember was Andrew in 1992, and that was horrible. And this one is the same strenght.

Trust me you don't want to be there for this one, sure hurricanes result in massive Hurricane parties and copious amounts of alcohol but the simple fact of the matter is you want to be in a hurricane like you want to be in a car wreck...it makes a good story but damn it sucks while it's happening.
