I have to work December 25th and 26th so Christmas this Year is basically going home (1 1/2 hour drive from where I live) on Dec. 24th for one afternoon and then return on the same day so I don't need to get up at 5 AM the other day.

my place of employment is closed christmas week so i have the whole week off... unfortunately even though we have to take the days off the bastards made us use 2 of our personal days (or vacation hours) for the privilege. pisses me off, surely if we HAVE to take the days off and are not choosing to, we shouldnt have to use our time... but oh well, at least i get a week off

Im kind of in teh same boat as you tomtom.. I work on the 21st, so i go home... then i have to work on the 26th, so ill be back down here in eugene... only ~5 days with the fam this year
