The banners are sweet, the blind effect blows. It's like having some cheesy ppt presentation running at the top of my screen. Gezt enough of those at work

Ground my Flash Player to a halt...so clicking the Adblock tab solved that nicely

flash is crappy on linux-based systems. can't help it... but it seems better today. no crashes yet.

didn't realize it was the banners that had the flash running that crashed explorer for me a few hours back...not good

Looks good and running fine. But why a Flash screensaver-thingie? Does it pull images from the backend dynamically? Otherwise, a normal animated GIF serves the purpose because it's not like we're going to stare at the top banner waiting for the image to change? I kinda preferred the old version that changes pics whenever the page refreshes.

yes it is dynamic. there is a whole backend system that calls the banners and places them in random order in an array. gifs are really 1998, they do the job, we at mercuryserver like to push something "new" something "different". also there is a quality issue with gif. see "vector" vs "pixel".
