it seems like every time I do it, I get dizzy and nauseous... seemingly regardless of how much liquids and food I've had for the day. I guess whatever I can to do to save a life is worth going though, though.
i get calls from the blood services people all the time cause i have the rarest blood type (AB negative). as soon as i'm eligible to donate...*bam*, phone call asking me to.
I have never donated....It's not like I don't want to (picked that option in the poll as it was the only option for not donating), it's that I can't. I get extremely woozy at the sight of my own blood....I can barely even have it taken when required.

I have a couple of times. Havent in years though cause everytime i go to give blood i remember i did some sort of drugs a month or two before. Its fairly bad thinking about it.
I have donate a lot of blood at least once a year, I also donate plasma, and I don´t know what there called in english i think there thrombocytes and it takes forever everytime like 2 hours, but you can donate them I think ever week or so.
as somone who lived in Europe in the past 5 years, I'm not allowed to give here in the US because of the mad cow desease - go figure

i donate, enjoy the free meal they give me afterwards, walk out and feel great. never had any problems with dizzyness or worse stuff. it's strange, but everything seems more intense after you let out 500 ml of blood, food tastes better, cigarettes too, it's weird.

I was thinking about giving blood since my blood is B+ and would be apreciated, but I have never actualy done it (so far). I will! I promise! Needles dont bother me at all.
