hambino and i have a mutual friend who bought a pair of 800's a couple years back. the guy has two kids so his priorities weren't taking care of his shit. i'm told one of the cdj's rode around upside down in the back of his caravan for some unknown amount of time. it's amazing how stupid people can be.

Having children is NO REASON to not take care of your equiptment. One of my good friends has been a dj long before he had kids, he has three and has never let his family get ahold of his dj equiptment. All his stuff is still like brand new.
There is a reason they make those cd cases that you can buy for 80-90$, when you spend 1K on a cd player, you need to spend the extra 80$ for the case to go with it.Comment

i too have the 200's and love them....i have had no problems with them...like it was said before...the little effects it comes with are great (except zip - sucks ass)...they could do without that feature and add a different effect, like filter...actually filter would be nice...obviously the 1000's are nice to look at, but for the price differnence for scratching isn't worth it to me....i have always thought about upgrading to 800's just for the vinyl platterComment

Re: Any entry-level CDJ sugg.s?
why would you use the auto pan function. It doesn't really do much for making your set more interesting. I really think Pioneer could have went without that and made some longer delays.Comment

Re: Any entry-level CDJ sugg.s?
just making a suggestion because the zip sucked ass...delay would be a good one as wellComment

never used the zip function as well. Isn't that thing just a heavy flanger to make it sound like an airplane?Comment

Don't know but but it's selling for $549.00. I've been doing some searching and actually found this place on ebay. Recently cames across them again through DJ Deals. I think they have a decent selection and have had good reviews at their ebay store.
