Can't stand the guy/girl, thing, whatever it is. I never thought it was all that great. Anything based solely on controversy never has done anything for me. I wouldn't mind seeing it get hit by a train though, that would be cool.

if you ever have seen the video for "Gave Up" from NIN you'll see him back when he used to play guitar for the NIN band. He was called M. Manson back then. Too bad he didn't just stay with them. He made for a great rhythm guitarist for that band...great fecking album.

agreed, always enjoyed seeing nin play live just because of flood. albums were always just trent, but live shows were something else.

I'd like to see a video with good/older footage of a live NIN show, I recall hearing they were increadible back in the early 90's I think. I had "Lest We Forget" (MM Greatest Hits) blasting earlier, pretty good stuff imo...

Hmmm...really? Never seen that video, but are you sure he wasn?t just doing a stand in? I was gonna swear NIN?s 1st rhythm guitarist was Richard Patrick (brother of actor Robert Patrick, from Terminator 2 and The X-Files), who went on to form Filter and is now singing for Army Of Anyone.

Besides hi acting/looking like a freak as you say, Marilyn Manson is a genius when it comes to music. He is very talented

I couldn't agree more...seen him in a few interviews...the guy is a great speaker..never got into his music though

he knows how to push the envelope. only reason he's popular. if he didn't look like a freak and act like a freak, nobody would listen to his music. i italicize his because as someone mentioned before, some of his albums are other's creations like trent reznor. never cared for manson. never understood the goth mentality.
