If he can make metal sound good to metal fans; If he can make country sound good to country fans; pop sound good to pop fans and invent the rock-rap crossover - surely this says a huge amount about how good his production skills are.
Just because you dont like the music doesnt mean he's not a great producer. ?

OK, I ended up watching the Grammys last night -- or more specifically, fast forwarding through everything except for the performances that were worth seeing -- and I gotta say, Gnarls Barkley's performance of Crazy was amazing. I love that they didn't do the radio version and did something a little different instead, and the whole performance had almost a surreal quality to it -- really, really cool.

That Dangermouse dude is a fucking genius, BTW...

None of them were worth best album imo. It was all billboard and top 40 shit. Between this and the Super Bowl halftime show, I think our countries musical taste is on a downward spiral straight for the shitter.

Actually this years super bowl halftime show was a really great show! An actual performance and not a lip sinced danceoff! Prince has been around since music was real music. As far as the Dixie piggies winning 5.... well apparently you needed to understand who they were against and what category they were winning the majority of the grammies in. I do think they deserved at least 3 maybe 5 is a little in excess but...at the current state of music in America, believe it or not they are a very talented act. As far as the musical tastes of music, its nice to see people waking up from there 5-10 year siesta! but since rap (yes I mean RAP) has made the uprising of acts such as the Ying Yang twins, T.I., Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Rich Boy, and any other freakin so call artist; there is no music anymore. I mean really how many of the damn words do you understand.....I'll tell you, only the hook! Uneducated idiots who get record deals. OK I'm done!
