DJ2K have restricted access to torrents

I've just noticed to the DJ2K site have restricted access to the BitTorrent section of their forums to people with "30 or more quality posts". HaHaHaHa.

Needless to say this hasn't gone down well - loads of posts saying "boo-hoo this isn't fair", and others saying "Who gives a shit what you think asshole?".

Now I'm going to have to try to think of something useful to say there .

Good idea. I had to bust my ass to get my 50 posts since Sheppie left me with -50,000,000 karma so I vote to make these pre-pubescent [ms]ers go through the same thing!

I download 1-2 sets in a month from DJmixes as I do not like most stuff they host as well. But I do appreciate the work and organization they put into their site. I am registered there since 2003 and also have only four or five postings so far but I never used their Bit Torrent section so far. If they start to make postings and participation mandated for their normal downloads as well, I have to either follow their rules or let it be and try to get the sets which are interesting for me from another source. Bitching about it does not help and is disrespectful. It's their site and work..like it or not. The replies in the announcement thread reminded me A LOT of ms when we came up with the 50 post rule...bitching bitching bitching.... about something you get for free. I will never get that people claim a right to get everything free without doing anything.

^ agreed. i wasn't trying to criticize it, as i know tons of work goes into maintaining it. i just don't get enuff quality stuff from them for me to put forth the effort. plus i've seen their posts. lots of people act stupid on there, imo.

i barely d/l from here anymore... but the music here is much better, for sure. i just post way too much

That's funny

DJMixes2K actually never had a limit; they've imposed the limit as not all their sets are anti-leech linked (i.e. they release a large number of sets, as well as have links to other sites that carry, BitTorrent sets). Recently, they've had a good amount of stuff, updated 2-3 times a week. Their BT section is rockin'.

On a related note, I've been a member for a while, and am proud to say that it's not too difficult to post on message boards ([ms] and djm2k alike). Simply download a set, listen to it, and post what you think.

I'm happy to say I'm a qualified member for both of these sites, and I am glad you compliment each other. The variety seldomly overlaps, so there's really no comparison.
