wow just realized my dvd burner is fried. cant believe it fucking managed to reload vista 1 last time before it died.... big mystery. luckily I had an old drive lying around, plugged it in and reloading xp. I guess mystery solved ?

havnt a clue, why dont u just remove the hd from that comp stick it in one of ur others and format it using that ?
I was going to suggest this when I first read your post, Kamal. If you can't make it work, just stick in a new HDD and stick the old booter as a slave. At least you know, that'll work for ya.

believe it or not, I'm actually going to go out and buy Windows XP MCE cause I dont need to upgrade my hardware for it to perform flawlessly on my PC. I will only get Vista on my laptop (whenever I get it next)
