lately ive been listening to Kiss sets from '00 to '03 and loving it ...
for example right now Oct '00 Three kiss set ...
before that the '03 March Kiss set


what would u say is difference between those sounds and what we have now ??

and where can I find more of this stuff now ... ??

might not be the best question but I want to hear more so i'll appreciate it ...

The difference between then and now is that then was better! And I'm not just saying that. Nowadays pretty much anyone can make a tune, and it's harder to find the better ones.

The Three Kiss fm set (from 2000) is a corker. But check his one from Fabric in 2001, absolutely amazing mate. Also try

Styles definitely have changed from 7 years ago. Not so "dark" as before. Dark subtle vocals ruled back then

Now its very very electronical.

I guess all the "new equipment" to make music has driven producers off another path in music production. And with producers popping up left and right, I guess we get a saturated market in tracks that it's difficult at times to find the good ones hidden amogst the thousands of new tracks on the interweb!

I guess the stuff producers use to make music in the studio. Im sure there's "better" stuff with more "buttons" or whatever than the stuff they were using in studios back in 2000. Just my theory.

Yeah, me too...it?s funny, after 2 years of being obsessed with tech/minimal, I have just returned to listening and playing dark, chunky, melodic progressive house.

It?s not that I got sick of minimal and tech, I mean, I went to see Pig & Dan and Exercise One on Wednesday and LOVED IT, today I?m going to see Florian Meindl/Tigerskin/Markus Lange, but I definitely don?t connect with that type of music on an emotional level as much as I do with more traditional prog-house.

That?s the main difference for me...soul, feeling and emotion

i like them both but if i had to pick one its prog

also with the older sets I felt u could to dance or just listen with the sets today, I dont feel that way ... I feel that they're kinda driving me towards cd's and older sets ...
