I opened an Amstel Light last night with a book and it worked like a mother fucking charm. As a matter of fact, the cap came flying off with enormous force and a satisfying "pop," and then positively vanished. I was staying a hotel in Boston and I scoured the room but the cap was nowhere to be found. Evidently, using these methods are not only resourceful but are also pretty efficient -- open your beer and dispose of the cap all in one motion.Comment

@ Amstel Light. Jimbo, are you having some gender dilemma or sumtin'? 
My prefered modus operandi to cap a bottle was with my teeth until I broke off a piece of one of my molars. Hurted like a mofo. Since then I just use the beer crate to cap it off.Comment

I know over in your part of the world, original Amstel is plentiful, but here in the states, your choice for Amstel-flavored beer is pretty much Amstel Light or nothing. My minibar had Amstel Light and Heineken, and for me that's an easy decision.

I think I perfected the CD thing last night. I opened 3 in a row each on the first try. the tops always fly each time. the third one went off the back deck of my buddy's house and flew about 75 feet to the road
