I'd hazard a guess that things like that happen in every city in the western world.

But I must agree that life in the UK is getting more and more alarming. I am not sure whether there is an increase in stabbings/shootings or if the media are just highlighting it more, but it seems every day I am reading about another young lad or citizen being killed over a trivial argument. Just on tonights news there is another 16 year old boy knifed to death in Bolton.

And the sad thing is there is nothing you can do. If I was out with my gf and a gang of lads were winding us up there isn't much I could do about it really - unless I wanted to get seriously hurt.

I truly think that a very serious event is likely to happen soon e.g. someone famous, or the child of someone famous, getting killed gang style, which might change peoples attitude to this level of 'Chav' culture that is blighting this country

No mate, at least not in Belgium, Holland or France. I think racing to get completely plastered asap and then fighting, pissing and shitting in public is something typically Briton. Just see what goes on in San Antonio, Ibiza for instance. Or on some Greek islands where the locals came out to protest against the behaviour of British tourists and the damage they caused.

Closing time is to blame for this imo: drink all you can before the clock strikes 11.

^ Yes Kinky you have a very good point. I myself cannot understand this obsession with getting blind drunk as soon as I can, and then causing mayhem.

When I was younger I went to San Antonio with some mates, and yes we got drunk, but we had a laugh, we didn't piss anywhere we wanted etc, we were brought up with respect. That is lacking in today's society.

Last year I was having a chat with this guy I know, 22 years old who used to play in my football team. Not the kind of guy I normally associate with. He told me that he had a bet with his mate that he could drink a whole pint of neat vodka straight. The value of the bet? ?2. He proudly told me he did it as well. A shocking indictment of UK society at present.

Sadly that video could be any city in Britian. Drunk people are always a pain in the arse. I'm all in favour for the police to beat drunken people, bring a bit more respect back.
